Since 1995 the small and suggestive village of Sant'Angelo Le Fratte has been the scene of numerous murals made by artists from all over the world.
The murals and thematic paths
Since 1995, thanks to the work of the Satrianese artistLuciano La TorreOver 50 national and international artists took turns making around 150 wall paintings and 10 marble sculptures and patin mortar in bronze. Among the most renowned artists we mention Ciro Adrian Ciavolino, Michele Giglio and Francesco Costanzo. In 2000 Luciano La Torre founded the associationArt for the valley, of which he is also the president.

The very first murals in Sant'Angelo were made near theMother Church, to then develop in the alleys and squares of the historic center. More recently, paths that touch different themes of the culture, tradition and history of the center of theMelandro Valley.

In the area of theDarkand the renownedwineriesMules with themed are concentrated"Peasant culture" and "Wine through classical mythology".

The alley that arises from the arch of theGalasso Palace(Town Hall) is entirely dedicated to"Joannes Caramuel", who was bishop of the ancientDiocese of Satrianowhich was based in Sant'Angelo.

On the houses near thePiazzetta di Bacco and AriannaYou can admire the murals dedicated to"The relationship of man with rock and water".

In different areas of the historic center we can come across the paintings with a religious background that are part of the thematic path"The cult".

Around theamphitheaterFinally, several dedicated murals have been made precisely to"Theater", which do as from fifth to the amphitheater itself.

Among the latest works built we point out the splendid mural dedicated to the name of the road that hosts it,Rue of the flowers, which is a real tribute to spring. The authors of this painting are Luciano La Torre and Tiziana Bruno.
